Baltic DB&IS 2024 will take place in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. Vilnius is the largest city in the country, with the population of approximately 560 thousand. The city was first mentioned in written sources in 1323 . Thus, in 2023, a historical event is taking place in Lithuania – the 700th anniversary of Vilnius.

The conference will be held in the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences. It is located next to the Cathedral Square which is one of the most famous sightseeings in Vilnius. The building of the Lithuania Academy of Sciences was built in 1906 as a bank. Now it offers well-equipped, possessing all the required sophisticated technologies conference halls.

The conference dates (30 June – 3 July 2024) coincide with the Lithuanian Song Celebration (29 June - 6 July 2024), a grand festival that occurs every few years. Some festival activities are scheduled in close proximity to the conference venue. The Song Celebration gathers tens of thousands of singers and dancers adorned in traditional costumes from various regions of Lithuania and beyond. In 2024, the 100th Anniversary of the Lithuanian Song Celebration will be celebrated. The Baltic Song and Dance Celebrations are inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
